Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Jr.
Hockey League held a "meet and greet" night at Brody's Sports Bar on
Thursday and a couple of moves were confirmed.The Birds named
fourth-year right winger Jerry Petingalo team captain for the 2010-11
season.
And it was also learned that the Birds have acquired brothers
Geoff and Laurie Gieni in a cash exchange trade with the Abitibi
Eskimos.Twin brothers, Geoff is a defenceman and Laurie is a forward. They are 1990 birth year players.
