SSM, March 16th, 2017 – The playoffs begin tonight for the Soo Thunderbirds Hockey Club and they would like to see all Minor hockey players at the game. If a Minor hockey player (12 & under) wears his or her team jersey or team jacket, he or she will get into the game for $1.00 (must be accompanied by an adult). Adult ticket price is $12.00, Senior ticket price is $10.00 and Student ticket price is $7.00.
Game 1 will be an International Bridge battle between the T-Birds and the Soo Eagles at the John Rhodes Community Centre – Puck drop is 7:00 p.m. The T-Birds, who got their ticket punched into the NOJHL’s West Division semifinal after finishing first in the West Division, will face the Eagles, who eliminated the Elliot Lake Wildcats two games to one in the NOJHL’s West Division quarterfinal series.
During the regular season, the T-Birds finished with a 6-3-1 record against the Eagles while outscoring them 44-31.
